League Schedule Maker

League schedule maker

Type your teams, pick your fields and the night you play, and get a full season: every team meets every other team, byes are spread evenly, home and away stay balanced, and holidays are skipped. Print it, export it or send a link.

When
Play on

Leave the start date empty for a round-by-round chart with no dates. With no weekday ticked, games fall on the start date's weekday. When a round has more games than courts, it carries on in the next time slot.

Pro: a live season page for your league

Publish the schedule at its own link where players check live scores and standings from their phones. Move a rained-out night and every game after it shifts, with nobody double-booked. Players get an email when their game changes. Built for organizers running a club ladder or a league season week after week.

This is an early project. We will only email you about the Pro version.

    How the season is built

The pairings use the circle method. One team stays in place and the others rotate one spot each round, which guarantees every pair meets exactly once. With an odd number of teams, one team rests each round and every team rests exactly once. Home goes to the team that has hosted less so far, so no team's home and away counts differ by more than one.

Each round goes on the next play date. If a round has more games than fields, the extra games move to the next time slot that night. A skipped date moves that round and every later one to the next play date.

    Works for any game

Use it for softball, soccer, volleyball, cornhole, darts, bowling, chess or a board game night. Change "Called" to Table, Board or Lane and the schedule uses that word.

    Questions

How many weeks does a round robin season take?

One week per round when you play one round a night. 6 teams need 5 rounds. 5 teams need 5 rounds, because one team has a bye each week. Playing each other twice doubles it. Set rounds per day above 1 to fit more in.

    Can I skip holidays?

Yes. Pick a date under "Skip a date" and press the button. The round that would have fallen on it moves to the next play date, and the rest of the season follows.

Can I export to Google Sheets or Excel?

Download the CSV and open it in Google Sheets, Excel or Numbers. Every game is one row with its round, date, time, field and teams.

What does the share link contain?

Everything on the schedule: the event name, names of teams or players, dates, times and every round. It sits in the part of the link after the # sign, which browsers never send to a server, so we never see it. Anyone with the link sees the same schedule, even if they have their own saved settings.

    Is my schedule saved?

Your settings are saved in this browser for this page only. Nothing is sent to us. Use the share link, CSV or calendar file to keep a copy elsewhere.
